ENGINEER
Seatrec
October 2020 - Present
Using Seatrec's proprietary technology, I help generate new product ideas that can provide energy for various ocean-based devices deployed around the world. Working closely with both the end-user stakeholders and Seatrec's engineering team, I lead the early-stage development and high-level concept design of new clean energy solutions for ocean environments.
-
Conceptualized and developed presentations of innovative uses of Seatrec's proprietary energy generation technology using solid-to-liquid and liquid-to-gas phase change material
MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Schlumberger
July 2018 - June 2020
Led hands-on mechanical engineering projects within a high-volume automated production line focusing on reliability, cost minimization, and improved yield, reducing yearly maintenance costs by tens of thousands of dollars.
-
Developed a dosing algorithm alongside mechanical improvements based on root cause analysis, increasing overall plant throughput by over 2% through eliminating a long-standing production bottleneck.
-
Introduced 3D Printing to the manufacturing facility, saving thousands quarterly and promoting rapid prototyping.
-
Modeled and drafted mechanical assemblies in PTC Creo, supporting various NPD and legacy projects within Windchill and conducting structural analysis with ANSYS Workbench
-
Delivered drawings with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and Design For Manufacturing conformance.
MECHANICAL ENGINEER INTERN
OPEX Corporation
June 2017 - August 2017
Tested & validated mechanical systems and electrical sensors, collaborating with senior engineering staff.
Designed, tested, and presented a prototype proprietary robot storage system with an innovative fail-safe mechanism approved for internal and external use.
Modeled and developed documentation of robotics safety mechanisms as the only intern included as part of a cross-functional design team of senior engineering staff.
MECHANICAL ENGINEER INTERN
Technicolor
June 2016 - August 2016
Conducted structural, thermal, and acoustic testing of set-top products electronics packaging, providing feedback and analysis to senior mechanical design engineering staff.
Developed a new procedure for acoustic testing of electronics set-top boxes, yielding $3,500 in annual savings.
Used PTC Creo and 3D printing to develop and test tactile hardware improvements, ultimately accepted by the end customer for large-scale production.
